Doreen and Duncan


A little bit about your hosts.

Doreen and Duncan were born on May 1, 2021. There were a total of 7 puppies in their litter - 5 girls and 2 boys. 

When they were only 2-1/2 weeks old their momma died so these cute little puppies had a hard start to life. 

But with care and lots of love, they managed to survive and find a place in their new family's heart and home.


On July 16, 2021, they were joined by Gilbert and Mariella, who were born on May 27, 2021. Duncan has nicknamed his little 1/2 brother and sister/cousins as his Halflings! Yes, at this young age he has been exposed to the classics. The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien if you are unfamiliar with the term.  And if the size of the book just seems too daunting a task the audiobook version is great for long commutes or you can go with Peter Jackson's epic visual masterpiece which did the books justice even with creative liberties taken for filming purposes.

Invasion of the Unicorns by David Biedrzycki Earth has been invaded, well, not really but an advance scout has arrived to decide if an invasion is a good idea. And no one will ever know who or what he truly is. That's right, Special Agent Bubble 07  blends in with the local Earth population because his appearance is that of a cute plush unicorn toy.  This a fun story in which a cute Unicorn is faced with a choice - invade earth or stay there and pretend to  be a stuffed toy in a child's room. The illustrations make this story. The illustrations are colorful but muted. This is an 8-Paws reviewed book, in the opinion of our reviewers Doreen and Duncan who each gave it 4-paws.
